Terms and Conditions



1. The Medication Weight Loss Clinic can only treat patients who are 18 and above and reside in the Ireland on a permanent basis.
2. The Medication Weight Loss Clinic does not treat women who are pregnant or breast feeding due to the different nutritional requirements.
3. Women of child bearing age must agree to use appropriate contraception.
4. Women of child bearing age who are thinking of getting pregnant must agree to stop any weight loss medication at least 3 months in advance of trying to conceive.
5. Patients must accept that any medical treatment may involve risks as well as benefits. Patients must also understand that there are certain health risks associated with having excess weight.
6. Patients must accept that much of the success of the program will depend on their efforts and that there are no guarantees that the plan will be successful. Patients also understand that having a high BMI is a chronic lifelong condition that will require permanent changes in eating habits, activity level and behavior to be effective.
7. Weight loss medication should only be used as an adjunct to exercise and dieting.
8. Patients should be aware that weight loss medication is not currently licensed to treat patients with a BMI equal or over 27 but under 30 unless they have a weight related co-morbidity.
9. Full payment will be taken for all patient consultation bookings. This is redeemable if you are deemed not suitable for treatment. Failure to attend a new patient consultation without giving 48 hours prior notice, will result in the payment becoming non-refundable.
10. At The Medication Weight Loss Clinic we care about your personal data a great deal and are absolutely committed to protecting your privacy and respecting your data. Our Privacy Policy here explains when and why we collect personal information from you.
11. The Medication Weight Loss Clinic reserves the right to vary this Agreement from time to time by amending this page. Patients will be notified of changes by the email address we have for you on file. Any material amendments intending to bind an existing user of the System shall become effective 7 days after the email.
12. For The Medication Weight Loss Clinic to provide the safest care, with your prior consent we will inform your GP if you are prescribed medication. We will request a medical summary from you. Without this summary we may be unable to continue your treatment.
